Cultivating Black Joy in the Classroom - A Panel Discussion - February 4, 2025, 4:30 pm - Join us on February 4, 2025, at 4:30 pm, for an engaging speaker panel designed to help educators create classrooms that celebrate Black excellence and cultivate joy for all students. This event will provide practical strategies for fostering pride in Black students, building positive associations with Black culture, and exploring the richness of the Black community in Edmonton and across the world. Attendees will gain activity ideas, tools for meaningful conversations, and insights into building relationships that unify rather than divide. Ramadan Hamper Campaign - The DEHR Committee is seeking donations and volunteers for Ramadan Hampers. Donations of non-perishable food, personal care items, small gifts and Loblaws/No Frills gift cards will be accepted at a the January and February COR meetings or can be dropped off at the Local office (Suite 401, 11010 142 St) between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday or 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Friday.
