Mastering Your Masters (via Zoom) - February 5, 2025, 7:00-8:30 pm
Are you considering graduate studies as part of your leadership journey? If so, please join us on Zoom on Wednesday, February 5th from 7:00-8:30 pm for a reflective panel discussion with a variety of female leaders as they share their experiences and stories. Observe a Colleague
Looking to connect with a mentor? Remember that you can access the Observe a Colleague program. Click HERE to access the guidelines and application form. Remember: if you are applying to use a day under the program the Local office must receive your request two weeks in advance of the date of observation.
Who we are - Women in Leadership, Mentorship and Advocacy (WILMA) Committee
The function of this committee shall be to:
1) Promote gender equality and women’s participation in all aspects of a member’s employment and Local/Association life.
2) Study, investigate and make recommendations to the Executive Committee on matters affecting women in/into leadership within public education and Edmonton.
3) Explore opportunities for mentorship.
4) Review relevant Association policy and submit recommendations to the Local’s ARA Steering Committee.
5) Plan, organize and facilitate activities or events promoting women in positions of leadership.
6) Create subcommittees as needed for the purpose of carrying out its mandate.
The Chair of the committee for 2024-2026 is Melissa Morton.
