PD Grant-in-aid

A PD Grant-In-Aid will be provided to individual teachers to help defray the cost of professional development, Specialist Council conferences, ATA courses, Edmonton Regional Learning Consortia offerings or any other seminars or conferences which support teacher’s professional development. Grants-in-Aid will be selected by random draw. Applications are now closed. Successful applicants will be contact by email.

Learning Through Observation (Observe a Colleague)

It's back! After a very long hiatus, the Observe a Colleague program is back up and running. Click HERE to access the guidelines and application form. Remember if you are applying to use a day under the program that the Local office must receive your request two weeks in advance of the date of observation. 

ATA Beginning Teachers' Conference - September 20-21, 2024

The annual ATA Beginning Teachers' Conference is on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st at the Fantasyland Hotel. The conference is FREE and the Local provides release time for 30 new teachers (anyone in their first two years of classroom teaching who have not previously attended) for Friday, September 20th. Principals, to ensure that a spot is reserved for your new teachers, contact the Local office with the names of the teachers that have registered for the conference.
